Itha-Krumme Memorial Arboretum

Next to Stanton Lake Park, 25th and Clifton Streets

This 2.2 acre site features native plants from Nebraska and adjoining states.  There are about 70 different species.  The site fittingly has two Dwarf Chinkapin Oaks, as this National Champion species  is located within Richardson County.

Your visits will be more enjoyable since the installment in the summer of 2007 of the new concrete pathway and, in 2009, six comfortable benches throughout the site.  Both of these features were Eagle Scout projects from Troop 396.  The Arboretum is truly a community endeavor. It is totally maintained and supported by volunteer donations and labor. The Arboretum receives no tax support; your financial donation is greatly appreciated and needed. Donations may be made to the Arboretum Maintenance or Endowment Fund, c/o The Richardson Foundation, Inc., P O Box 161, Falls City NE 68355. This is an IRS 501 (c)(3) organization.
