Permits are generally required for any construction or renovation, including plumbing and electrical work. Permit fees are based on the value of work being performed. To determine whether a permit is required and/or obtain a Building Permit, contact the Building Inspector at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday.

Varies, based upon value of work. Fees double if work is started without obtaining an approved building permit.

It is the citizen’s responsibility to contact the Building Inspector at City Hall when your project is ready for inspection. Inspection may be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through  Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday.

In addition to any required State of Nebraska Contractor licenses, Plumbing and Electrical Contractors may obtain licenses required to perform work in the City of Falls City at City Hall between 8:30 a.m.  to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday.

Any complaints are handled by the Building Inspector at the City Hall office between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday. These complaints are investigated and if action is necessary, the Inspector would contact the owner to make repairs or demolish the structure.
